Practice Night - April 26, 2006

The Granum Fire Dept conducted a simulation of a car fire.

The car is fully involved.

The Deputy Chief gives the order for water.

Two crews attack from the sides.

We slowly move in with attack lines.

White smoke and steam.

Clean up the hot spots. We got it knocked down. Good job!

A second senario was done using the piercing nozzle. This is a valuable tool for under the hood or in the trunk or any hard to get at areas.

Fire Extinguisher Day and Garage Sale

Fire Extinguisher day and Garage sale was held May 13, 2006. We sold out our BBQ burgers once again. We had a fire extinguisher demo and many people brought their extinguishers to be checked and refilled.

Training Exercise with the Granum Colony

On June 28, 2006, the G.F.D. conducted a training exercise with the Granum Colony. This was a new experience for these future firefighters.

All new Firefighters get baptized with water. We conducted a training session in extinguishing a vechile fire. Keith took the younger boys and got them helping to wash up their pumper truck. They had a great time, got a little wet but came up smiling.

Willow Creek Gospel Music Jamboree - July 28-30, 2006

The G.F.D. was in charge of parking for the Willow Creek Gospel Music Jamboree and was on standby for medical first aid all weekend.
