Prairie Fire '97 Video

The destructive power of 1997's Porcupine Hills fire has been documented in video form by Granum Fire Department Chief Don Douglas.

The video begins with raw footage from two area residents affected by the fire, illustrating the fire in its early stages. Then proceeds into the fly-by footage taken by Douglas of the whole burn area. Some of the technical aspects of what happened are explained as Douglas narrates the video. Near the end Douglas shows some of the destruction and the aftermath, and concludes with a thank you to the many volunteers and people involved with fighting this prairie firestorm.

Proceeds raised from the sale of this video will go toward equipment for the Granum Volunteer Fire Department.
